The Energy of the 16 Primary Emotions

.

Emotions are Energy in motion.

The 8 Emotions of the Low Octave each create its own form of energy and Suffering. The Source of their energy lies upstream stemming from one’s thoughts and beliefs. It takes careful examination to discover that the heart of all these thoughts and beliefs involve Fear.

The Emotional Energies of the 8 High Octave Emotions combine to dissipate and displace all forms of fearful energy. Calmness prevails. Kindness and compassion lie at the heart of all the High Octave Emotions.

‍ ‍

The word energy typically calls to mind types of physical energy such as  solar wind nuclear and thermal coming from fuels such as carbon, minerals and the natural motions of wind and water in Nature. The  physical energy powering our body machinery is fueled by calories from food and ever more often caffeinated energy drinks. Peak energy output from the body can come from being in great shape from regular exercise and conditioning workouts from the gym. The Scientific Revolution since Isaac Newron continues to foundation of the current understandings of physical energy. This work will humbly avoid Quantum energy given its mysterious nature as compared to physical energy.

Inner and Outer Worlds

Modern science maps and studies the “outer” objective world of material things and the ongoing physical changes happening to them. From 3 centuries of experiments and research, the physical sciences achieved a pivotal milestone. Namely reaching by scientific consensus on the basic list fundamental types of physical energy (thermal, kinetic/mechanical, gravitational, potential, chemical, and electric) that all its scientists would accept. From there, each type of energy’s distinctive characteristics could be explored.

By comparison, for over 150 years, the science of Psychology tries to map and understand “inner subjective world” of feelings and their fundamental emotional energy. Reaching a scientific consensus identifying and naming these types of energy would be a milestone for the Mental Health sciences.

Modern Psychology is still quite far from this milestone.

‍ ‍

This helps explain a startling blind spot in the world of Mental Health. You know those numerous charts illustrating lists of emotions you see hanging in schools, health clinics, hospitals and professional offices and how different these maps can be?

‍ ‍

For fun do some Ai searches on some groups or organization doing mental health work using the prompt ‘ list a map of the emotions you use in your work ‘ The range in the number of emotions listed and how they are arranged may be surprising.

‍The tip of the iceberg

Now imagine all counselors, clients and organizations working to improve emotional health and resilience. What emotional map is currently guiding them? If I want to upgrade to the emotional map with the best reputation how would they choose when their is no consensus among the experts on the best map?

Fortunately, imho, a quiet revolution imho, began with a comprehensive Map of the emotions contained in David Hawkin’s Map of Consciousness. Inspired by his work, this website is a small attempt to learning about the fundamenta emotional energy.

Comparing the emotional energy of the 2 Octaves

‍ ‍ Source Existence and Identity

‍ ‍ little self vs. Authentic Self

Lower Octave self is grounded in the ego’s belief that it’s identity and existence comes from the physical body and not an eternal Consciousness. When connected with a lifetime of experiences, choices, beliefs and behavior patterns, ego takes then claims to be one’s personality. The consequence of this trap of identification is the existential terror that one’s Consciousness, life, and very existence has has an inescapable expiration date.

Fortunately from all ages and cultures, has come descriptions about near death experiences and after death experiences from persons of integrity. Hence this Lower Octave self based on a physical sense of identity is increasingly being replaced by a High Octave sense of identity based in Spirit. Example “I see myself as a spiritual person along with my ….‘fill in the blank’ _________ (Christian, Jewish. Buddhist, Taoist, Muslim, agnostic, Wiccan, Bahai, etc.) background or leannings.

Upper Octave identity i.e. the Authentic Self intuited as coming from a Consciousness that constitutes One’s spirit or soul. This Self in turn derives it’s Source from the Highest Power which may go by many names (Higher Power, God, Universal Spirit, Universal ConsciousnessMother Nature). This Power can also manifest in an unlimited number of forms.

vs.

Ascending 8 Levels of Energy and their Qualities of the Upper Octave Emotions

‍ ‍

The 8 Emotions of the Upper Octave support life and generate energy .

The 8 emotions of the lower octave’ do not support life, drain energy, and weaken the body.

Contrasting Energetic Qualities of the Higher vs Lower Octave

  Stronger vs weaker.

      Lighter vs heavier.

         Brighter vs darker.

            Expansive vs constricting

               Connecting vs separating.

 Revtalizing vs draining

The Upper Octave Emotions interact in harmonious ways progressively increasing the overall Energy experienced in these emotional states.

The Lower Octave Emotions are marked by friction and pressures that progressively diminish the overall Energy while in these emotional zones.

The beginning challenge involves accurately identifyingthe shifting array of Upper and Lower Emotion that might occurr throughout the day. This practice will be termed Emotional Mindfulness.

‍ ‍ 2 Octave GPS tool provides a powerful guide for practicing emotional mindfulness. With regular practice and GPS assistance, the different landscapes comprising each of the 16 Levels of Emotion come into focus. Without a clear inner emotional  map, navigating complex shifting emotions  can be like travelling through  the Hall of Mirrors maze at a Fun House. It is a confusing place. Most everyone gets easily get lost and ends up traveling  in the same circles among the rooms of the Lower Octave. circles,

Ego/personality sees the Low Octave maze as  its place of normalcy and security. It strives to control life circumstances to create its fragile forms of   happiness  love and safety. It reacts defensively to  High Octave Energy  as a threat to its world.  Thus reactions to High Octave Energy and ideas  can  range from outright hostility and defenvenee to minimizing, ignoring, or staying distracted from it

Overall Low Octave energy is reactive.

         High Octave Energy is proactive.

If this introduction sparks something... please explore further. This site is a humble effort on a task hopefully many others are taking. To  integrate the simplicity of Dr David Hawpins MD PhD's famous Map of Consciousness with the timeless wisdom and depth of his teachings.   His many books, teachings, seminars and media presentations are found at the Veritas Foundation

Also developing with practice is one’s ability to cut straight through the noise of others’ words and messages to capture the real underlying feeling tone. This emotional accuracy can be so invaluable in effectively communicating… because so many feelings can be “Lost in Translation”.erapy
